A 49-year-old woman was referred to our hospital because of empyema. A chest drainage tube inserted and lavage performed. Her general condition improved but the infection and a major air leakage remained. On the 10th day after chest drainage, we performed thoracoscopic debridement and occlusion of bronchopleural fistulas using cellulose oxidized( Surgicel) and fibrin glue. Expansion of the lung and the improvement of inflammation were observed. but a major air leakage remained. On 29th postoperative day, we performed bronchial embolization using endobronchial Watanabe spigot (EWS). The leakage stopped the 7 days after bronchial embolization, we removed chest tube and 10 days after bronchial embolization she was discharged.

Background: Bronchial artery pseudoaneurysm is a rare vascular disorder, and cases of bronchial pseudoaneurysms reported after lung surgery are even rarer. The number of reported cases is very limited due to the unclear pathogenesis, lack of diagnostic criteria and treatment guidelines, and nonspecific clinical manifestations.
Case Presentation: The paper reports a case of a patient with primary lung adenocarcinoma who developed hemoptysis, chest and back pain, and right hemothorax after lobectomy.

The present meta-analysis aimed to provide the most detailed and comprehensive anatomical description of bronchial arteries (BAs) using data available in the literature. Adequate knowledge of the normal anatomy and morphological variations of BAs can be clinically significant; for example, this approach can prevent potential risks while undertaking bronchial artery embolization (BAE) procedures and, ultimately, lead to better patient outcomes. Major medical databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and the Cochrane Library were searched.
