Intraspinal air is a rare complication of intraspinal anesthesia. Reported cases of intraspinal or intracranial air are mostly associated with the air insufflation resistance test, while those associated with the normal saline resistance test are rare. This article presents a case of intracranial air following intraspinal anesthesia performed using the normal saline resistance method.

Background: Using electrocorticography for research (R-ECoG) during deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery has advanced our understanding of human cortical-basal ganglia neurophysiology and mechanisms of therapeutic circuit modulation. The safety of R-ECoG has been established, but potential effects of temporary ECoG strip placement on targeting accuracy have not been reported.
Objective: To determine whether temporary subdural electrode strip placement during DBS implantation surgery affects lead implantation accuracy.

Background: The mixed density hematoma (MDH) has a high recurrence rate in chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH). This study adopted rigid neuroendoscopy assisted hematoma resection to evacuate CSDH and investigated its efficacy as compared with the traditional burr-hole craniostomy (BHC) in CSDH with mixed density.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted at two centers between January 2015 and December 2020.

Chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) is common, especially in patients over 50 years of age, and represents about 10% of all intracranial hematomas. The pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of CSDH are controversial. The purpose of this study was to document the clinical application of a novel imaging classification system for the neuroendoscopic treatment of CSDH.

We report a series of 29 pediatric patients who sustained head injuries due to metallic ceiling fans. They all were admitted to the Emergency Department of Neurosurgery Teaching Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, during January 2015 to January 2017. Pediatric ceiling fan head injuries are characterized by four traits which distinguish them from other types of head injuries; 1- Most of them were because of climbing on or jumping from furniture between the ages of two and five.
