The monitoring of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) is crucial for understanding the level of antimicrobial resistance and the associated health burden, which in turn is essential for the control and prevention of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Isothermal amplification, an emerging molecular biology technology, has been widely used for drug resistance detection. Furthermore, its compatibility with a range of technologies enables high-specificity, high-throughput, and portable and integrated detection in drug resistance, particularly in resource-limited areas.

Bipolar disorder is a chronic disease that imposes a lifelong burden on those that suffer from it. Lithium is still considered both gold standard treatment and first-line maintenance treatment, and access to treatment with lithium is paramount to improving patient outcomes. However, access to adequate treatment is not only contingent on symptom recognition, accurate diagnosis, and individualization of treatment, but also affected by racial and ethnic disparities at each stage of patient experience.

Background: Road traffic accidents (RTAs) are a critical public health problem leading to significant morbidity, mortality, and socioeconomic losses. Despite known risk factors like substance use and sleep-related problems, there is limited research on the prevalence of these factors among drivers who met with RTAs. Hence, this study aimed to gain insight into the prevalence of substance use and sleep-related problems among this population attending a trauma center in the northern State of India.

Cardiac fibroblasts are activated following myocardial infarction (MI) and cardiac fibrosis is a major driver of the growing burden of heart failure. A non-invasive targeting method for activated cardiac fibroblasts would be advantageous because of their importance for imaging and therapy. Targeting was achieved by linking a 7-amino acid peptide (EP9) to a perfluorocarbon-containing nanoemulsion (PFC-NE) for visualization by F-combined with H-MRI.
