Phenomic selection based on parental spectra can be used to predict GCA and SCA in a sparse factorial design. Prediction approaches such as genomic selection can be game changers in hybrid breeding. They allow predicting the genetic values of hybrids without the need for their physical production.

T-cell lymphomas (TCLs) are rare and aggressive malignancies associated with poor outcomes, often because of the development of acquired drug resistance as well as intolerance to the established and often toxic chemotherapy regimens in elderly and frail patients. The many subtypes of TCL are well established to exhibit marked geographic variation. The epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of TCLs in the Middle East (ME) are yet to be explored; hence, limited data are available about these entities in this part of the world.

Background: To explore the mechanism of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) intervention on acute lung injury secondary to snake venom poisoning and provide more toxicological and clinical evidence for venom poisoning.

Methods: Male Kunming mice (n = 96) were randomly divided into four groups: the control group which was not given any interventional treatments, venom group in which each mouse was injected with venom (1 mg/kg) through the tail vein, antivenom group in which each mouse was injected with anti- venom immediately after the model was successfully established, and HBO+antivenom group in which each mouse was given HBO treatment at 1 h, 5 h, 11 h and 23 h following the injection of antivenom. Lung tissues of mice were obtained and processed for the detection of the lung coefficient, the levels of inflammatory factors such as interleukin (IL)-6, IL-10 and IL-17, and the protein expression of retinoic acid receptor (RAR)-related orphan receptor gamma (RORγt) and forkhead box P3 (FOXP3).

SolPGD: Solanaceae Pan-genomes Reveal Extensive Fractionation and Functional Innovation of Duplicated Genes.

Plant Commun

The Solanaceae family contains many agriculturally important crops, including tomato, potato, pepper, and tobacco, as well as others with growing potential, such as the orphan crops groundcherry, wolfberry, and pepino. Research progress varies greatly among these species, with model crops like tomato far ahead, which limits the broader agricultural application of other solanaceous species. Here, we constructed the interspecies pan-genome for the Solanaceae family and identified distinct patterns of gene retention.

is a gram-negative bacterium that demonstrates a remarkable ability to acquire antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs). The role of the CRISPR-Cas system in influencing antibiotic resistance in is still under investigation. This study explores the distribution and impact of CRISPR-Cas systems on antibiotic resistance by analyzing 316 genomes.
