Purpose Of Review: To discuss the recent developments in the utility of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) in the context of female infertility.
Recent Findings: AMH measurements have entered the clinical practice in counseling of women before in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. AMH measurements can predict both poor and hyperresponse, and can enable clinicians to individualize the treatment strategies. In natural conception, AMH is a good predictor of age at menopause, but it is unclear whether AMH correlates with the fecund ability in the normal population. AMH has also proven its utility in the assessment of ovarian damage due to gonadotoxic treatment or ovarian surgery. Lastly, AMH might assist in the initial diagnosis of oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea, as high levels of AMH are suggestive of polycystic ovarian syndrome and seem to correlate with the severity of the syndrome.
Summary: AMH is a glycoprotein secreted by the granulosa cells of small growing follicles and indirectly reflects the primordial follicle pool. The ovaries contain a limited number of primordial follicles and their depletion marks the menopause. Thus, the remaining primordial follicle pool is referred to as the ovarian reserve. The clearest data for the clinical utility of AMH is in the context of IVF. The support for other indications is weaker, but rapidly increasing.

This study aimed to develop and validate a predictive model for failure to collect oocytes in the Patient-Oriented Strategies Encompassing Individualized Oocyte Number (POSEIDON) Groups 3 and 4 during their first in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) cycle. A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients in POSEIDON Groups 3 and 4 who underwent their first IVF/ICSI cycle at our center from January 2016 to December 2023. A total of 2,373 patients were randomly assigned to the training or validation cohort at a ratio of 6:4.

Backgrounds: Recent studies have found Several lncRNAs were proved differential expression in diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) patients, however, the mechanism of DOR caused by lncRNAs is still largely unclear.
Methods: High throughput sequencing was performed in ovarian GCs extracted from women with normal ovarian function and women with DOR. Bioinformation analysis was used to analyze the sequencing data and identify the differential expression of lncRNAs.

Chronic stress can adversely affect the female reproductive endocrine system, potentially leading to disorders and impairments in ovarian function. However, current research lacks comprehensive understanding regarding the biochemical characteristics and underlying mechanisms of ovarian damage induced by chronic stress. We established a stable chronic unpredictable stress (CUS)-induced diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) animal model.

Background: Methotrexate (MTX) is an agent used in the treatment of many neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases and is known to cause oxidative damage in normal tissues. Curcumin (Cur) is a natural polyphenol compound with powerful antioxidant and antiapoptotic effects. In this study we investigate the effects of Cur on MTX-induced ovarian damage.

The effect of mycotoxin exposure on follicular fluid composition and reproductive outcomes in women undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF) was investigated in this study. Twenty-five patients were included, and follicular fluid and serum samples were analysed for various mycotoxins. Principal observations:1.
