The development of novel detection technology for meat species authenticity is imperative. Here, we developed a machine learning-supported, dual-channel biosensor-in-microdroplet platform for meat species authenticity detection named CC-drop (RISPR/Cas12a digital single-molecule microdroplet biosensor). This strategy allowed us to quickly identify and analyze animal-derived components in foods.

According to Freud no light was thrown upon the meaning of his rat deliria until he mentioned that the Rat Wife in Ibsen's play Little Eyolf (1894) had made a strong impression on him. He did not elaborate any further how Ibsen's play became a leading clue to insight into his rat deliria. He supposed that the roots of the Rat Man's great obsessive fear were derived from his unconscious phantasies of introjecting his father's penis per anum.

Sonodynamic anti-cancer therapy relies on the highly active singlet oxygen to induce potent cell death. However, the non-specific biodistribution of sonosensitizers post systemic administration results in a significant accumulation in the skin, and hence the daylight-induced phototoxicity. Here, we report a smart metal-organic framework-based nanocarrier with titanium dioxide (TiO) as the sonosensitizer for reduced phototoxicity in the skin.

Whole-exome sequencing of two unrelated kindreds with systemic autoimmune disease featuring antinuclear antibodies with IgG4 elevation uncovered an identical ultrarare heterozygous TNIP1 variant segregating with disease. Mice with the orthologous Q346P variant developed antinuclear autoantibodies, salivary gland inflammation, elevated IgG2c, spontaneous germinal centers and expansion of age-associated B cells, plasma cells and follicular and extrafollicular helper T cells. B cell phenotypes were cell-autonomous and rescued by ablation of Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) or MyD88.
