In parallel with the introduction of modern therapeutic and pharmacological interventions that have successfully resolved many diseases and conditions, previously deemed incompatible with life, there has been a significant increase in the number of patients experiencing secondary immunodeficiency. As a result, these patients are highly susceptible to various opportunistic infections. Among these infections, pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) stands out as one of the most frequent and potentially life-threatening ones, necessitating prompt diagnosis and treatment.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the restoration of coronary flow just before stent deployment and the final thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) flow grade 3 in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) whose initial TIMI flow grade ≤ 1. In primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), initial TMI flow grade ≤ 1 is closely associated with suboptimal final TIMI flow grade. We included 466 STEMI patients with initial TIMI flow grade ≤ 1 and divided into a restored flow group or an unrestored flow group according to the TIMI flow grade just before stent deployment.

Purpose: To evaluate the cost utility of a 9-month supervised exercise program for patients with metastatic breast cancer (mBC), compared with control (usual care, supplemented with general activity advice and an activity tracker). Evidence on the cost-effectiveness of exercise for patients with mBC is essential for implementation in clinical practice and is currently lacking.
Methods: A cost-utility analysis was performed alongside the multinational PREFERABLE-EFFECT randomized controlled trial, conducted in 8 centers across Europe and Australia.
