Background: Lentigo maligna (LM) and lentigo maligna melanoma (LMM) are the most prevalent subtypes of melanoma, primarily affecting sun-exposed areas of the face in individuals aged 65 to 80 years. LM accounts for approximately 80 % of in situ melanomas and carries a risk of progression to LMM, which constitutes 4 % to 15 % of global cutaneous melanoma cases. This report discusses the clinical challenges and management strategies for recurrent LM, with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis and surgical intervention.

Prostate cancer (PCa) is a high-prevalence disease usually characterized by metastatic spread to the pelvic lymph nodes and bones and the development of visceral metastases only in the late stages of disease. Positron Emission Tomography (PET) plays a key role in the detection of PCa metastases. Several PET radiotracers are used in PCa patients according to the stage and pathological features of the disease, in particular Ga/F-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) ligands.

Introduction: Joint hypermobility (JH) is mobility beyond the normal range of motion. JH can be an isolated finding or a characteristic of a syndrome. Characteristics related to the sitting position with atypical body positions, such as sitting in splits (S), with the foot on the head (F), in W (W), in a concave shape (C), episodes of dislocations, and subluxations, suggest impacts on body mechanics since childhood, with damage to the conformation of the joints.

Objective: To investigate the feasibility and accuracy of esophageal sponge cytology in screening esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
Methods: From May 2021 to June 2022, an opportunistic screening was performed in people aged 40-75 from a high-risk region for ESCC. Using an esophageal cell collector that was independently developed in China for esophageal sponge cytology, a positive cytology was determined as detection of atypical squamous cells or more severe lesions.
