Orofacial digital syndrome type 1 is condition which is characterized with, in addition to oral-facial and digital congenital anomalies, polycystic renal disease in most patient, and the prognosis is dependent on renal involvement in such patients. Our case was a 22-year-old patient who was presented with clinical picture of chronic renal failure, was started on hemodialysis and had took our attention due to oral, facial and digital anomalies in addition to polycystic renal disease.

Background: Psychosocial screening is a valuable part of the assessment of patients with orofacial pain, as psychosocial factors will affect prognosis and treatment outcomes. Paper-based questionnaires are predominately used to assess the degree of psychosocial comorbidity; however, digital alternatives for screening questionnaires may be more cost-effective and resource-saving if patients are receptive to using them.
Objective: To evaluate how patients perceive digital psychosocial screening in dentistry.

The objective was to develop and evaluate a comprehensive search strategy (SS) and automated classifier (AC) for retrieving temporomandibular disorders (TMD) research articles. An initial version of SS and AC was created by compiling terms from various sources, including previous systematic reviews (SRs) and consulting with TMD specialists. Performance was assessed using the relative recall (RR) method against a sample of all the primary studies (PS) included in 100 TMD-related SRs, with RR calculated for both SS and AC based on their ability to capture/classify TMD PSs.

Background: There is limited understanding of how temporomandibular disorder (TMD) symptoms, psychological distress, and well-being are related to each other and to OHRQoL in Chinese young adults.
Objectives: This study aimed to identify correlations between TMD symptom severity, psychological status, and OHRQoL while also examining factors associated with low OHRQoL.
Methods: Participants, recruited from a major university in the capital city, completed a survey that included demographics, the Chinese versions of the expanded five TMD symptoms (5Ts) screener, Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scales-21 (DASS-21), Ryff's Scales of Psychological Well-being-18 (SPWB-18), and Oral Health Impact Profile for TMDs (OHIP-TMD).
