Objective: The concept of "time is brain" is crucial for the reperfusion therapy of ischemic stroke. However, the Infarct Growth Rate (IGR) varies among individuals, which is regarded as a more powerful factor than the time when determining infarct volume and its association with clinical outcomes. For stroke patients with a similar infarct volume, a longer time from stroke Onset to Imaging (OTI) correlates with a lower IGR, which may indicate a better prognosis.

Background: Patients with acute myocardial infarction and angiographically obstructive non-culprit lesions are at high risk for recurrent major adverse cardiac events (MACEs). However, it remains largely unknown whether events are due to stenosis severity or due to the underlying high-risk lesion morphology.
Methods: Between January 2017 and December 2021, 1312 patients with acute myocardial infarction underwent optical coherence tomography of all the 3 main epicardial arteries after successful percutaneous coronary intervention.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), such as pembrolizumab, have revolutionized cancer therapy but can lead to severe immune-related adverse events (irAEs). We present a case of fulminant type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and mesenteric ischemia in a 78-year-old woman with recurrent stage IIIC1 cervical cancer treated with pembrolizumab. Thirty-four days after initiating a pembrolizumab-containing regimen, she presented with vomiting, severe hyperglycemia, metabolic acidosis, and strongly positive urine ketones.

Introduction Whole-body computed tomography angiography (CTA) may be useful during cerebral angiography and endovascular treatment (EVT), and identification of thrombi and malignant trunk tumors may be helpful in stroke typing and acute stroke care. Therefore, we aimed to assess the types and prevalence of incidental findings on whole-body CTA in this patient population. Methods This single-center, retrospective, observational study included consecutive patients with suspected acute stroke who underwent whole-body CTA in addition to brain CTA between April 2020 and August 2023.

Myocardial bridging is a frequent anomaly of the heart in humans and other animals. A myocardial bridge is typically characterized by the systolic narrowing seen with traditional catheter angiography, but this abnormality is not by itself a sign of ischemia or the need for intervention. In particular, transient spontaneous angina must be corroborated by reproducible narrowing during acetylcholine testing; this narrowing occurs during resting conditions and is responsive to nitroglycerin administration.
