Unlabelled: The ideal method for varicocelectomy in children remains controversial. We present our experience with dye-assisted lymphatic-sparing laparoscopic varicocelectomy (LSLV) in children, which overcomes the limitations of previously described techniques.
Materials And Methods: Five consecutive LSLVs were performed over a period of three years on children with a mean age of twelve years. The varicocele grade was three in one case and grade 2 in four cases, respectively. A left subdartos injection of 2 ml of Indigo carmine dye was done using a 25-gauge needle at ten minutes before an operation. A scrotal injection of lymphatic dye was utilized to spare at least one lymphatic and the remaining spermatic vessels were divided.
Results: Lymphatic-sparing was accomplished in all cases. No peri-operative complication was noted. We spared one lymphatic channel in one patient (20%) and two channels in four patients (80%). There were no cases of hydrocele or residual varicocele.
Conclusion: Dye-assisted LSLV is easily accomplished with an excellent surgical outcome and sparing one or two lymphatics appears to be sufficient to avoid secondary hydrocele.

The photocatalytic efficiency of TiO has been opposed by the fast recombination speed of photogenerated carriers. Here, g-CN -modified sulfate-built-in TiO quantum dots (ST-QDs) were successfully created using a simple ultrasonication-thermal procedure. g-CN-enrapped ST QDs with a 10 nm size were revealed by the characterization results.

Background: The detection of tumor localization is difficult in robotic surgery because surgeons have no sense of touch and rely on visual information. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of preoperative CT-guided dye marking of lung nodules prior to robotic surgery.
Methods: Patients undergoing CT-guided dye marking prior to robotic surgery at our hospital between September 2019 and April 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.

Purpose: During breast cancer surgery, the use of dyes such as indigo carmine, methylene blue, or indocyanine green (ICG) for targeting axillary lymph nodes (ALNs) under ultrasound guidance can result in rapid diffusion, complicated tissue differentiation, and disruption of staining. LuminoMark™, a novel ICG-hyaluronic acid mixture, can provide real-time visualization and minimize dye spread, thereby ensuring a clear surgical field. The aim of our study was to evaluate the efficacy of LuminoMark™ for targeting ALNs in patients with breast cancer.

At the scrub sink, we discussed the best ways to evaluate for ureteric patency during cystoscopy. For decades, surgeons have been using intravenous indigo carmine for evaluating ureteric patency. Ten years ago, a shortage of indigo carmine halted production.

The aim of this research is to explore the effectiveness of epoxy-resin@polypyrole composites as a corrosion inhibitor when applied as a coating on carbon steel 1018 in a 3.5 wt % sodium chloride electrolyte solution. The anticorrosion properties of these composite coatings can be optimized by manipulating their morphology.
