In patients with disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI), overlapping non-gastrointestinal conditions such as fibromyalgia, headaches, gynaecological and urological conditions, sleep disturbances and fatigue are common, as is overlap among DGBI in different regions of the gastrointestinal tract. These overlaps strongly influence patient management and outcome. Shared pathophysiology could explain this scenario, but details are not fully understood.

However, the existing treatment for adult ADHD does not adequately address procrastination. Sedentism is an adaptive alternative in human societies which is often associated with the emergence of complex societies in the Holocene. To elucidate the factors and processes of the emergence of sedentary societies, continuous accumulation of case studies based on robust evidence from across the world is required. Given abundant archaeological and geological evidence from the late Pleistocene to early Holocene, Tanegashima Island, situated in the southern Japanese Archipelago of the northwestern Pacific Rim, has significant potential to unravel factors and processes of sedentism.

Objective: The goal of this study was to better understand the epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and treatment outcomes of head and neck sarcomas using real-world data from Japan.

Methods: Using the Japanese Head and Neck Cancer Registry, we identified 438 patients who were pathologically diagnosed with head and neck sarcoma between 2011 and 2020. We compared epidemiological, clinical, and prognostic data for the different histological types of sarcoma.
