Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) may be an effective and more practical alternative. Background: Conventional quantitative MRI (qMRI) scan is time-consuming and highly sensitive to movements, posing great challenges for quantitative images of individuals with involuntary movements, such as Huntington's disease (HD).
Purpose: To evaluate the potential of our developed ultra-fast qMRI technique, multiple overlapping-echo detachment (MOLED), in overcoming involuntary head motion and its capacity to quantitatively assess tissue changes in HD.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is characterized by elevated concentrations of growth factors that facilitate bone repair. Nonetheless, the effective integration of PRP with bone implants and the sustained release of its active constituents pose significant challenges. In this study, thrombin is grafted onto the surface of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) via an N,N'-Disuccinimidyl Carbonate (DSC) linker and the retained enzymatic activity of thrombin enables the controlled activation of PRP self-assembly, resulting in the formation of a functional bio-gel layer.

The direct application of cold plasmas at atmospheric pressure, corresponding to partially ionized gases, is an emerging technology with a number of potential biomedical applications, including the decontamination of surgical devices. A new derived and easier to implement method has recently been developed: the use of cold atmospheric plasma-activated media (PAM). Numerous preclinical studies and in vitro models indicates that PAM treatments facilitate wound healing by promoting keratinocytes and fibroblasts migration, stimulating angiogenesis, and inhibiting bacterial proliferation, all of which are essential for this vital process.

Introduction: Plasma amyloid beta/amyloid beta (Aβ/Aβ) and phosphorylated tau217 (p-tau217) identify individuals with primary Alzheimer's disease (AD). They may detect AD co-pathology in the setting of other primary neurodegenerative diseases, but this has not been systematically studied.
Methods: We compared the clinical, neuroimaging, and neuropathological associations of plasma Aβ/Aβ (mass spectrometry), p-tau217 (electrochemiluminescence), and neurofilament light ([NfL], single molecule array [Simoa]), as markers of AD co-pathology, in a sporadic frontotemporal dementia (FTD) cohort ( = 620).
