Objective: One in five college women experiences sexual assault (SA). Feminist scholars have called for the use of programming that empowers women by increasing their ability to recognize and resist SA. One such program, the Enhanced Assess, Acknowledge, Act SA Resistance Education Program (EAAA), has demonstrated lower rates of SA up to 24 months (Senn et al.

Risk factors associated with pain and pain relief in patients with chronic pancreatitis.

Postgrad Med J

January 2025

Department of Gastroenterology, Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University, No. 16 Jiangsu Road, Shinan District, Qingdao 266075, China.

Background: Abdominal pain is one of the most prominent symptoms in patients with chronic pancreatitis (CP) and can manifest intermittently or persistently. The mechanism of pain is not yet clear, and no effective treatment is currently available. This study aimed to explore the risk factors for pain in patients with CP, which may provide new insights for developing effective pain control modalities.

Leaky and structurally abnormal blood vessels and increased pressure in the tumor interstitium reduce the infiltration of CAR-T cells in solid tumors, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Furthermore, high burden of tumor cells may cause reduction of infiltrating CAR-T cells and their functional exhaustion. In this study, various effector-to-target (E:T) ratio experiments are established to model the treatment using CAR-T cells in leukemia (high E:T ratio) and solid tumor (low E:T ratio).

Ferroelectric and Optoelectronic Coupling Effects in Layered Ferroelectric Semiconductor-Based FETs for Visual Simulation.

Adv Sci (Weinh)

January 2025

Technical Center for Multifunctional Magneto-Optical Spectroscopy (Shanghai), Engineering Research Center of Nanophotonics & Advanced Instrument (Ministry of Education), Department of Physics, School of Physics and Electronic Science, East China Normal University, Shanghai, 200241, China.

Controlling polarization states of ferroelectrics can enrich optoelectronic properties and functions, offering a new avenue for designing advanced electronic and optoelectronic devices. Here, ferroelectric semiconductor-based field-effect transistors (FeSFETs) are fabricated, where the channel is a ferroelectric semiconductor (e.g.
