Background: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a critical treatment for severe cardiopulmonary failure. However, traditional ECMO decannulation methods, such as manual compression and surgical repair, are associated with significant complications. This study evaluates suture-mediated closure devices, specifically Perclose ProGlide, as a potentially favorable decannulation strategy.

Ostium secondum ASD accounts for a large proportion of these defects and often goes unnoticed during childhood and adolescence. Pulmonary hypertension (PH), affecting a significant number of patients with ostium secondum ASD, is associated with functional limitations, heart failure, and tachyarrhythmias.

Introduction: Vocal symptoms are frequent in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and may occur during or after infection.
Objective: To conduct a descriptive review on the topic "dysphonia and COVID-19" in order to alert specialists to these symptoms associated with the virus and sequelae.
Methodology: A literature review was carried out in the main databases: Web of Science, PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus, between April 2020 and April 2024 using descriptors that related COVID-19 or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2) to voice disorders.

To assess the efficacy and safety of "one-stop" procedures combining radiofrequency catheter ablation and left atrial appendage closure by guidance of intracardiac echocardiography(ICE) in elderly patients with atrial fibrillation. A retrospective cohort study was conducted on patients who underwent ICE-guided "one-stop" procedures at the Department of Cardiology, General Hospital of Northern Theater Command between December 2020 and January 2023. Patients were divided into elderly group (age≥60 years old) and non-elderly group (age 18-59 years old).
