Single-atom catalysts (SACs) dispersed on support materials exhibit exceptional catalytic properties that can be fine-tuned through interactions between the single atoms and the support. However, selectively controlling the spatial location of single metal atoms while simultaneously harmonizing their coordination environment remains a significant challenge. Here, we present a phenolic-mediated interfacial anchoring (PIA) strategy to prepare SACs with Fe single atoms anchored on the surface of heteroatom-doped carbon nanospheres.

This study tested the impact of troughing on the detection rates of MB2 canals with and without calcifications. Traditional access cavities were prepared and the detection of MB2 canals was recorded in 200 maxillary molars selected based on micro-CT scans. In specimens, the MB2 orifice was not detected; troughing was performed.

Orbital structures are strongly correlated with catalytic performance, whereas their regulation strategy is still in pursuit. Herein, the Fe 3 and O 2 orbital hybridization was optimized by controlling the content of amorphous NiFe(OH) (a-NiFe(OH)), which was grown in situ on crystalline NiFeO (c-NiFeO) using an ultrasonic reduction method. The results of electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and X-ray absorption spectra (XAS) revealed that the Fe-O orbital hybridization in a-NiFe(OH) is effectively strengthened by jointing with the adjacent oxygen (O) in c-NiFeO, which is further confirmed by the higher antibonding orbital energies based on density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

Oligonucleotides (ONs) are an increasingly popular category of molecules in the pharmaceutical landscape, particularly attractive for the treatment of genetic and rare diseases. However, analyzing these molecules presents significant challenges, due to their highly hydrophilic nature, multiple negative charges, and the presence of closely related impurities resulting from the complex solid-phase synthesis process. Ion pairing reverse-phase liquid chromatography (IP-RPLC) is the preferred technique for ONs analysis but is not ideal for mass spectrometry (MS) coupling.

Esophageal cancer (EC) is one of the most common highly malignant tumors of the digestive system, with a poor prognosis under current treatment regimens. Nucleolin (NCL) is overexpressed in many tumors, and drugs specifically targeting NCL may offer a promising strategy for treating esophageal cancer. Here, we designed and prepared a novel aptamer-conjugated drug targeting NCL by AS1411 aptamer-human serum albumin (HSA)-the apoprotein of lidamycin (LDP)-active enediyne chromophore (AE), in order to achieve targeted treatment of esophageal cancer.
