Objective: The quantification of magnetic resonance relaxation parameters T 1 and T 2 have the potential for improved disease detection and classification over standard clinical weighted imaging. Performing a mono-exponential fit on multi spin-echo (MSE) data provides quantitative T 2 values in a clinically acceptable scan-time. However, due to technical imperfections of refocusing pulses, stimulated echo contributions to the signals lead to significant deviations in the resulting T 2 values. In this work, a simple auto-calibrating correction procedure is presented, allowing the accurate estimation of T 2 from MSE acquisitions.

Materials And Methods: Correction factors for T 2 values obtained from MSE acquisitions with a mono-exponential fit are derived from simulations following the extended phase graph formulation. A closed formula is given for the calculation of the required correction factors directly from the measured data itself.

Results: Simulations and phantom experiments show high accuracy of corrected T 2 values for a wide range of clinically relevant T 2 values and for different nominal refocusing flip angles. In addition, corrected T 2 maps of the human brain are presented.

Conclusion: A simple recipe is provided to correct T 2 values obtained from MSE acquisitions via a mono-exponential fit for the influence of stimulated echoes. Since all required parameters are extracted from the data themselves, no additional acquisitions are required.

Background: Dosimetry after [Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE therapy can be demanding for both patients and the clinical service due to the need for imaging at several time points. In this work we compare three methods of single time point (STP) kidney dosimetry after [Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE therapy with a multiple time point (MTP) dosimetry method.

Method: Method 1 (MTP): Kidney doses were calculated from 31 patients including 107 therapy cycles.

Objective: The high prevalence of osteoarthritis emphasizes the need for a cost-effective and accessible method for its early diagnosis. Recently, the portability and affordability of very-low-field (VLF) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI, 10-100 mT) have caused it to gain popularity. Nevertheless, there is insufficient evidence to quantify early degenerative changes in cartilage using VLF MRI.

The Instantaneous Signal Loss Simulation (InSiL) model is a promising alternative to the classical mono-exponential fitting of the Modified Look-Locker Inversion-recovery (MOLLI) sequence in cardiac T mapping applications, which achieves better accuracy and is less sensitive to heart rate (HR) variations. Classical non-linear least squares (NLLS) estimation methods require some parameters of the model to be fixed a priori in order to give reliable T estimations and avoid outliers. This introduces further bias in the estimation, reducing the advantages provided by the InSiL model.

Medical Physics and Biophysics, Physics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, Depok, 16424 Indonesia.

Purpose: Calculation of the uncertainty of the individual time-integrated activity coefficient (TIACs) is desirable in molecular radiotherapy. However, the calculation of TIAC's uncertainty in single-time-point (STP) method has never been reported in the literature. This study presents a method based on the Bayesian fitting (BF) to calculate the standard deviation (SD) of individual TIACs in the STP dosimetry.
