Purpose: Globally, colorectal cancer (CRC) is among the most prevalent cancers. One distinctive feature of colorectal cancer is its close relationship to the gut microbiota, which is a crucial component of the tumor microenvironment. Over the last ten years, research has demonstrated that colorectal cancer is accompanied with dysbiosis of gut bacteria, fungi, viruses, and Archaea, and that these alterations may be causal.

Introduction: The relationship between depression and gut microbiota remains unclear, but an important role of gut microbiota has been verified. The relationship between gut microbiota and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) may be a potential new explanatory pathway.
Methods: We collected samples from 63 depressed patients and 30 healthy controls for metagenomic sequencing.

Background: Infection by Dialister micraerophilus, an obligate anaerobic gram-negative bacillus, has rarely been described, and its clinical characteristics remain unclear.
Case Presentation: We report a case of bacteremia caused by D. micraerophilus, Enterocloster clostridioformis, and Eggerthella lenta in a 47-year-old woman, associated with pyometra.
