Objectives: Systemic administration of conditioned medium (CM) from stem cells derived from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED-CM) in mouse models of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis suppresses excessive osteoclast activity and restores bone integrity. However, the mechanism through which SHED-CM regulates osteoclastogenesis remains largely unknown. In the present study, we examined the anti-osteoclastogenic mechanism of SHED-CM in vitro.

Introduction: The incidence of post-pandemic psychiatric disorders has increased globally in recent decades. Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is one of the psychiatric disorders that are partially associated with emotional factors. It can affect the quantity and quality of saliva, present as xerostomia, and trigger the emergence of the geographic tongue (GT).

TiO used for photocatalytic water purification is most active in the form of nanoparticles (NP), but their use is fraught with difficulties in separation from solution or/and a tendency to agglomerate. The novel materials designed in this work circumvent these problems by immobilizing TiO NPs on the surface of exfoliated clay minerals. A series of TiO/clay mineral composites were obtained using five different clay components: the Na-, CTA-, or H-form of montmorillonite (Mt) and Na- or CTA-form of laponite (Lap).

Liquid phase exfoliation (LPE) offers a promising path for scalable graphene production, but struggles with high energy consumption and low yield, with over 99.99% of the input energy wasted. Here, we present an energy-efficient approach for producing graphene via partially frozen-suspension exfoliation (PFE).

Article Synopsis
  • Rechargeable aqueous zinc-sulfur batteries (AZSBs) are praised for their high energy density and safety but face challenges like poor reaction kinetics and polysulfide dissolution.
  • This research introduces an organic-inorganic hybrid electrolyte and a novel sulfur cathode design to improve AZSB performance by optimizing both components.
  • The resulting AZSB with the new design shows significant enhancements in discharge capacity, efficiency, and cycling stability, attributed to improved reaction kinetics and reduced polysulfide issues.
