Introduction: Advanced penile squamous cell carcinoma (pSCC) is a rare and aggressive malignancy with a poor prognosis and an unmet need for biomarkers. We performed a retrospective evaluation of real-world efficacy, safety outcomes, and baseline inflammatory biomarkers in patients with advanced pSCC treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs).

Methods: We performed a retrospective review of patients with advanced pSCC who received ICIs from 2012 to 2023 at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

Cytokines constitute a family of proteins that modulate the immune system and are secreted by many cells. CXCL12, along with its receptor CXCR4, are essential players in numerous processes. Dysregulation of their function underlie the mechanism(s) of several pathologies, including malignancies.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the outcome and renal safety of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-radioligand therapy (RLT) in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate carcinoma (mCRPC) and preexisting renal impairment.

Methods: Ninety-four patients with preexisting renal impairment were included in this retrospective analysis. Inclusion criterion was a glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of ≤60 mL/min (equivalent to Common Terminology Criteria of Adverse Events [CTCAE] ≥2).

The term "polytopal rearrangement" describes any shape changing process operating on a coordination "polyhedron"-the solid figure defined by the positions of the ligand atoms directly attached to the central atom of a coordination entity. Developed in the latter third of the last century, the polytopal rearrangement model of stereoisomerization is a general mathematical approach for analyzing and accommodating the complexity of such processes for any coordination number. The motivation for the model was principally to deal with the complexity, such as Berry pseudorotation in pentavalent phosphorus species, arising from rearrangements in inorganic coordination complexes of higher coordination numbers.

Medicinal polypharmacology is one answer to the complex reality of multifactorial human diseases that are often unresponsive to single-targeted treatment. It is an admittance that intrinsic feedback mechanisms, crosstalk, and disease networks necessitate drugs with broad modes-of-action and multitarget affinities. Medicinal polypharmacology grew to be an independent research field within the last two decades and stretches from basic drug development to clinical research.
