One proposed mechanism to explain the origin of EED is oligomeric enzyme dissociation. Cypermethrin is a pyrethroid showing nephrotoxicity by generating ROS-impaired oxidative stress and changes in inflammatory and apoptotic markers. The harmful consequences are intended to be mitigated by the imbalance between oxidants and antioxidants. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant possessions of nanocurcumin (NC) with improved bioavailability ameliorate Cyp toxicity in rat kidneys.

Exaggerated neuronal excitation by glutamate is a well-known cause of excitotoxicity, a key factor in numerous neurodegenerative disorders. This study examined the neurotoxic effect of monosodium glutamate (MSG) in the brain cortex of rats and focused on assessing the potential neuroprotective effects of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 PUFAs). Four groups of adult male rats (n = 10) were assigned as follows; normal control, ω-3 PUFAs (400 mg/kg) alone, MSG (4 mg/g) alone, and MSG plus ω-3 PUFAs (4 mg/g MSG plus 400 mg/kg ω-3 PUFAs).

Objective: The usage of doxorubicin (DOX), an antineoplastic drug that is frequently used for the cure of cancer, is restricted to maximal doses due to its cardiac toxicity. Reactive oxygen species produced by DOX result in lipid peroxidation and organ failure, ultimately resulting in cardiomyopathy. Due to its high polyphenol content, virgin rice bran oil (VRBO) is a diet nutritional supplement with a strong antioxidant.

Drought stress inhibits Bunge () seedling growth and yield. Here, we studied the effects of drought stress on the different parts of seedlings through physiological, transcriptomic, and metabolomics analyses, and identified key genes and metabolites related to drought tolerance. Physiological analysis showed that drought stress increased the accumulation of hydrogen peroxide (HO), enhanced the activity of peroxidase (POD), decreased the activity of catalase (CAT) and the contents of chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll, reduced the degree of photosynthesis, enhanced oxidative damage in seedlings, and inhibited the growth of plants.
