Amidst the cost-of-living crisis the UK news has been increasingly reporting of individuals "choosing between heating and eating," suggesting overlapping food and fuel poverty (FFP). The media plays a powerful role in establishing narratives, shaping political debates, and even influencing what societies regard as an "issue" or a "public health issue." Relying on framing theory, this media analysis seeks to better understand how FFP have been constructed relationally in the UK news and how surrounding public health messaging has been employed.

Background: Gingival papilla defects, which cause an unpleasant appearance and involve the upper anterior teeth, may be triggered by several factors. Several noninvasive and invasive techniques have been proposed for gingival papilla reconstruction. The combination of interproximal tunneling and customized connective tissue grafts (CTGs) has shown promise in papilla augmentation.

Geological carbon storage provides an efficient technology for the large-scale reduction of atmospheric carbon, and the drive for net-zero emissions may necessitate the future usage of oil reservoirs for CO projects (without oil production), hence, dynamic modeling of an oil reservoir for CO storage in the Bredasdorp basin, South Africa, was therefore conducted. Injection into the reservoir was for 20 years (2030-2050), and 100 years (2050-2150) to study the CO-brine-oil interactions, with sensitivities carried out on reservoir boundary conditions. The closed boundary scenario experienced pressure buildup with a target injection rate of 0.

Liquid asphalt is a petroleum-derived substance commonly used in construction activities. Recent work has identified lower volatility, reactive organic carbon from asphalt as an overlooked source of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) precursor emissions. Here, we leverage potential emission estimates and usage data to construct a bottom-up inventory of asphalt-related emissions in the United States.
