In order to compete the antiviral effects of the host cell in the process of infection, ORFV(known as Orf virus) relies on a series of functional genes developed through long-term population evolution, such as interferon resistance genes, Bcl-2 protein genes and cell cycle inhibitor gene and so on, with these weapons this virus is able to effectively counteract immune clearance and immune regulation from a host cell. Concurrently, ORFV also focuses on exploiting signal transduction pathways of the ubiquitin-proteasome system(UPS), circumvents the intracellular signal transduction and CD8+ T activation, for shielding virus particles towards maturation and releasing outside. This review introduced inner link between the UPS of host cell and intervention mechanism by virus, and analyzed the key roles of certains components in UPS, these all together showed the evolution tendency of ORFV that was involved in the designing of inhibition to immune response and for intracellular immune escape upon the selection pressure in host cell infected.

Polysorbates, in particular polysorbate (PS) 20 and 80, are the most commonly used surfactants for stabilising biotherapeutics produced by biotechnological processes. PSs are derived from ethoxylated sorbitan (a derivative of sorbitol) esterified with fatty acids of varying chain length and degree of saturation. In the past, these surfactants have been reported to have specific liabilities.

Background: Mosquito-borne diseases have a significant public health threat worldwide, with arboviruses accounting for a high proportion of infectious diseases and mortality annually. Brazil, in particular, has been suffering outbreaks of diseases transmitted by mosquito viruses, notably those of the genus, such as dengue, Zika, and chikungunya. Against this background, the São Paulo Zoo is an intriguing ecological niche to explore the virome of mosquitoes, potentially shedding light on the dynamics of arbovirus transmission within a confined setting.

While naïve CD4+ T cells have historically been considered a homogenous population, recent studies have provided evidence that functional heterogeneity exists within this population. Using single cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq), we identify five transcriptionally distinct naïve CD4+ T cell subsets that emerge within the single positive stage in the thymus: a quiescence cluster (TQ), a memory-like cluster (TMEM), a TCR reactive cluster (TTCR), an IFN responsive cluster (TIFN), and an undifferentiated cluster (TUND). Elevated expression of transcription factors KLF2, Mx1, and Nur77 within the TQ, TIFN, and TMEM clusters, respectively, allowed enrichment of these subsets for further analyses.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was identified in China in late December 2019 and led to a pandemic that resulted in millions of confirmed cases and deaths. The causative agent, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), uses distinct receptors and co-receptors to enter host cells. Vimentin has emerged as a potential co-receptor for SARS-CoV-2 due to the high level of vimentin expression in testis tissue.
