The Co-Compostage (CC) of Palm (Poenix dactylifera L.) Fiber (PF) and Sewage Sludge (SS) at volume rate (1PF/1SS), mixed with Top Soil (TS) have been used as a substrate for cucumber cultivated in soilless crop system. Five substrates with volume ratio T (CC-TS) were tested: T (10-0), T (9-1), T (8-2), T (7-3) and T (6-4). They were compared to peat in nursery and to TS in Cucumis sativus L. crop production. Total porosity, bulk density, moisture content, rate of drainage, pH and electritical conductivity of T (8-2) and T (7-3) were relatively favorable for plant growth. After 45 days of growth and in comparison to peat, T (9-1), T (8-2) and T (7-3) gave the best parameters of root development: volume, architecture, length, number, best seedling growth and a positive correlation (R = 0.751) between root and shoot dry matter. After 120 days, cucumber attained the best root development under T (8-2) and T (7-3). Fruits production of these substrates was 40% higher than those of the control.

Background Pediatric migraine is a primary headache affecting daily activities and causing significant disability among children. However, clarity on the usage of prophylactic medications in children is yet to be established. This study was conducted with the aim of comparing the efficacy and safety of flunarizine and propranolol in the prophylaxis of pediatric migraine.

This study investigated the oleogelation of cellulose bead dispersions in a sunflower oil oleogel made with solvent-transferred whey protein isolate. The microstructure and rheology of the mixed gels depended on the ratio of hydrated cellulose beads to proteins (9:1, 8:2, 7:3, and 1:1). Two gel stabilization mechanisms were identified.

Purpose: To compare the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL), ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer thickness, central subfield thickness (CSFT), and parafoveal and perifoveal thickness in children of different age groups with young adult controls by using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography.
Methods: This cross-sectional study included children aged 6-17 years and adult controls (18-22 years) - group 1: 6-9 years (57 eyes), group 2: 10-13 years (116 eyes), group 3: 14-17 years (66 eyes), and group 4 (controls): 18-22 years (61 eyes). A mixed-effects model was used to compare the OCT parameters among the groups, along with multivariable analysis.

This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of diabetic vitrectomy for treating tractional retinal detachment (TRD) by assessing visual acuity improvements, retinal reattachment success rates, and the frequency of postoperative complications. A comprehensive literature search identified 1,211 studies, 30 of which met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The meta-analyses were conducted via random effects models to account for heterogeneity.

Background: Ghana adopted the policy on Intermittent Preventive Treatment of malaria in pregnancy using Sulfadoxine-Pyrimethamine (IPTp-SP) in 2004. Notwithstanding the government's and other stakeholders' efforts in Ghana, optimal uptake (three or more doses of IPTp-SP) has slightly declined since 2016. The study examined the individual and community-level correlates of pregnant women who take optimal or none/partial doses (less than three doses) of IPTp-SP using the Ghana Malaria Indicator Survey (GMIS) 2019.
