Opsin plays a regulatory role in phototaxis of , functioning as the initial station in the phototransduction cascade. Our study aimed to explore the phototransduction pathway to identify elicitors that may enhance phototaxis in the future. The RNAi technique was employed to inhibit gene expression, followed by RNA-Seq analysis to identify phototransduction genes.

Background: The levels of biogenesis of lysosome organelles complex 1 subunit 1 (BLOC1S1) control mitochondrial and endolysosome organelle homeostasis and function. Reduced fidelity of these vacuolar organelles is increasingly being recognized as important in instigating cell-autonomous immune cell activation. We reasoned that exploring the role of BLOC1S1 in CD4 T cells may further advance our understanding of regulatory events linked to mitochondrial and/or endolysosomal function in adaptive immunity.

Background: Salinity stress affects plant growth, development, biomass, yield, as well as their survival. A series of signaling cascade is activated to cope the deleterious effect of salinity stress. Cytokinins are known for their regulatory roles from cell growth and expansion to abiotic stress signaling.

Arrestins halt signal transduction by binding to the phosphorylated C-termini of activated G protein-coupled receptors. Arrestin-1, the first subtype discovered, binds to rhodopsin in rod cells. Mutations in , the gene encoding Arrestin-1, are linked to Oguchi disease, characterized by delayed dark adaptation.

Molecular switches serve as key regulators of biological systems by acting as one of the crucial driving forces in the initiation of signal transduction pathway cascades. The Ras homolog gene family member A (RhoA) is one of the molecular switches that binds with GTP in order to cycle between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state. Any aberrance in control over this circuit, particularly due to any perturbation in switching, leads to the development of different pathogenicity.
