Newell & Shanks (N&S) appeal to well-known problems in establishing subliminality to argue that there is little convincing evidence that subliminally presented stimuli can affect decision making. We discuss how recent studies have successfully addressed these well-known problems and, in turn, have revealed clear evidence that subliminally presented stimuli can affect decision making.

: The carriage of resistant bacteria and prior antimicrobial treatment are related, but in an individual, this diminishes over time. To better manage antimicrobial resistance risks, it is crucial that we better untangle any lasting impact of antibiotic use compared to other factors. This understanding is essential for informing antimicrobial stewardship programs and to better manage other important factors that likely contribute to persistently higher rates of antimicrobial resistance in different populations.

The current study uses the Chernobyl disaster optimizer (CDO), a new metaheuristic optimizer, to identify the seven unknown parameters of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). The procedures of the CDO is based on physical behavior of the elaborated radiations from the well-known Chernobyl disaster according to their mass, speed, frequency, and degree of ionization. The sum of square errors (SMSE) among the estimated and the real measured output voltage datasets of SOFCs is minimized employing the CDO.

Actinobacteria are well known for their production of metabolites of interest. They have been previously studied to identify new antibiotics in medical research and for their ability to stimulate plant growth in agronomic research. Actinobacteria represents a real source of potential biocontrol agents (BCAs) today.

Optimization algorithms play a crucial role in solving complex problems across various fields, including global optimization and feature selection (FS). This paper presents the enhanced polar lights optimization with cryptobiosis and differential evolution (CPLODE), a novel improvement upon the original polar lights optimization (PLO) algorithm. CPLODE integrates a cryptobiosis mechanism and differential evolution (DE) operators to enhance PLO's search capabilities.

Unlabelled: The global prevalence of sedentary lifestyles and the associated health risks, such as cardiovascular, metabolic and mental issues, is an epidemic worldwide problem, particularly in the university population.
Background/objectives: University students are particularly vulnerable because of academic pressure and lifestyle changes. Despite the well-known benefits of physical activity in reducing mental stress and improving physical and mental well-being, the literature lacks effective interventions and standardized protocols for this population.
