Background: Early diagnosis of degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) is often challenging due to subtle, non-specific symptoms, limited disease awareness and a lack of definitive diagnostic criteria. As primary care physicians are typically the first to encounter patients with early DCM, equipping them with effective screening tools is crucial for reducing diagnostic delays and improving patient outcomes. This systematic review evaluates the efficacy of quantitative screening methods for DCM that can be implemented in primary care settings.

Background: TGF-β1 is the most abundant cytokine in bone, in which it serves as a vital factor to interdict adipogenesis and osteogenesis of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs). However, how TGF-β1 concurrently manipulates differentiation into these two distinct lineages remains elusive.
Methods: Treatments with ligands or inhibitors followed by biochemical characterization, reporter assay, quantitative PCR and induced differentiation were applied to MSC line or primary BM-MSCs for signaling dissection.

Objective: While the occurrence of sexual dysfunction in patients sustaining traumatic cervical or thoracic injuries is well acknowledged, the evidence regarding its prevalence and outcome in individuals with degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) is still limited. The current systematic review was planned to comprehensively evaluate the existing literature regarding the prevalence, patterns, presentation, and outcome of sexual dysfunction in patients presenting with DCM.

Objective: The diagnosis of degenerative cervical myelopathy (CM) in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients is challenging due to overlapping symptomatology and radiological findings. Minimal literature reports patient reported outcomes measures (PROMs) for MS patients undergoing surgery for CM. Given the diagnostic difficulty, we aimed to determine if patients with MS have worse outcomes after elective cervical spine surgery.
