Introduction: Invasive Stratified Mucin-producing Carcinoma (ISMC) of the cervix is a newly named cervical adenocarcinoma associated with Human Papilloma virus (HPV). Due to its relative rarity, clinical data, pathological features, and molecular characteristics of ISMC are still under exploration. A hyalinizing trabecular tumor (HTT), characterized by a trabecular growth pattern and notable hyalinization within the trabeculae, occurs at a rate of ~1%. As patients with HTT may be asymptomatic, accurate diagnosis is a challenge. Due to its resemblance to other tumors, such as papillary thyroid carcinoma and medullary thyroid carcinoma, a precise diagnosis necessitates both pathological and molecular examinations.

High-intensity focused ultrasound thermal ablation (HIFU) is a novel non-invasive technique in the treatment of liver metastases (LIM) that allows focal destruction and is not affected by dose limits. This retrospective study aimed to explore the efficacy of HIFU in improving survival and the safety of the method in newly diagnosed patients with cancer with LIM who received first-line immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy. Between January 2018 and December 2023, data from 438 newly diagnosed patients with cancer and LIM who were treated at Mianyang Central Hospital (Mianyang, China) were reviewed.

Purpose: To evaluate the prognostic significance of progesterone receptor (PR) expression and the PIK3CA mutation status in HR+/HER2 - breast cancer patients, with the goal of screening patients who may derive the greatest benefit from PI3K-targeted therapy.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 152 HR+/HER2 - breast cancer patients stratified by PR expression levels and PIK3CA mutation status. The study population was divided into groups on the basis of a median PR threshold of 50% and further subdivided by PIK3CA mutation status.

Nephrotic syndrome (NS) occurs in 5-15% of patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN), resulting in poorer long-term outcomes compared to those without NS. Clinical features and renal prognosis for patients with both NS and IgAN across different kidney pathologies have not been fully elucidated. This study included patients with primary IgAN through renal biopsy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from January 2001 to November 2021 presenting with NS.
