Introduction: Social prescribing links patients to community groups and services to meet health needs; however, it is uncertain what the benefits and impacts of social prescribing are for people with chronic pain. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) undertook a systematic review to investigate the clinical and cost effectiveness of social interventions aimed at improving the quality of life of people with chronic pain; no relevant clinical studies comparing social interventions with standard care for chronic pain were found, though the inclusion criteria for studies was narrow.

Objective: Removal of a transcutaneous osseintegrated endo-fix stem (ESKA Orthopaedic, Lübeck, Germany) following a fatigue fracture of the implant, whilst protecting the residual femur bone to allow transcutaneous osseointegrated prosthesis system (TOPS) reimplantation.

Indications: A patient's request for a further TOPS implantation following a fatigue fracture of a circular osseointegrated implant stem.

Contraindications: Impending destruction of the bone tube through mobilisation of the femoral implant stem with insufficient thickness of the cortical wall (< 2-3 mm).

Objectives: Urticarial vasculitis (UV) is characterized by atypical urticarial lesions and leukocytoclastic vasculitis, sometimes with extracutaneous manifestations. First-line treatment is based on colchicine, hydroxychloroquine, dapsone or low-dose glucocorticoids. In refractory forms, the use of biologics has been anecdotally described as potentially effective.
