Objective: Pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum (PA-IVS) is a rare congenital heart disease characterized by a wide morphological spectrum that can be associated with abnormalities in the coronary circulation such as sinusoids, fistulas, stenosis or atresia. Some patients do not present ventriculo-coronary fistulas or intramyocardial sinusoids, other patients do present ventriculo-coronary connections, but only some of the latter will have right ventricle-dependent coronary circulation (RVDCC); timely establishment of the diagnosis of RVDCC is essential, since the prognosis of these patients is generally fatal. There are reports of patients with this type of coronary circulation (RVDCC) who were undergone to univentricular physiology, but this treatment option remains controversial, so the purpose of this manuscript is to share three cases with PA-IVS and RVDCC, their outcome and the reflections they provide us.

Background: Coronary collaterals are the feeding bridges between the main epicardial arteries, and research has shown that this collateral development plays a crucial role in myocardial performance, especially in patients with coronary artery disease. However, the evolution of these collaterals has not been fully explained.
Objective: In this study, we aimed to reveal the effect of CD31 on coronary collateral development.

Purpose Of Review: Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is heralded by chronic inflammation and entails an excessive burst of acute-on-chronic inflammation (AoCI). This review describes the evolution from understanding atherosclerosis as a chronic inflammatory disease, to recent efforts in optimizing anti-inflammatory therapy to patients with AMI. It highlights the challenges and opportunities in selecting the optimal patient with AMI to derive maximal benefit from early anti-inflammatory therapy.

Background: Fluorescein angiography (FA) has been a pivotal tool for studying the pathophysiology of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in vivo. We examined the course of ROP using FA to assess the predictive value of angiographic features.
Methods: This is an observational retrospective cohort study of eyes screened for ROP with a binocular indirect ophthalmoscope and FA.
