Objective: The objective of this study was to understand the resident perspective on what makes an excellent surgical educator and to identify gaps in a single-institution-developed "Residents as Teachers" curriculum (RaTC) following the completion of the RaTC by residents at the institution.
Design: A longitudinal 8-hour RaTC was developed and administered in 1-hour sessions over 2 years. Content included interactive clinical and technical skills teaching, feedback, evaluation and assessment, and interpersonal skills.

Injury to one cerebral hemisphere can result in paresis of the contralesional hand and subsequent preference of the ipsilesional hand in daily activities. However, forced use therapy in humans can improve function of the contralesional paretic hand and increase its use in daily activities, although the ipsilesional hand may remain preferred for fine motor activities. Studies in monkeys have shown that minimal forced use of the contralesional hand, which was the preferred hand prior to brain injury, can produce remarkable recovery of function.

Purpose: Gastric cancer (GC) remains a major malignancy. Robotic gastrectomy (RG) has gained popularity due to various advantages. Despite those advantages, many hospitals lack the necessary equipment for RG and are still performing laparoscopic gastrectomy (LG) due to its established minimal invasiveness and safety.

Objective: Robotic simulation training curricula aim to aid surgeons in attaining robotic operating room proficiency, but the crossover success remains to be examined.
Design: A retrospective cohort study grading robotic biotissue training models and intraoperative anastomotic videos. The curriculum included deliberate practice of inanimate drills of a hepaticojejunostomy (HJ) and gastrojejunostomy (GJ).

In robotic-assisted laminectomy decompression, stable and precise vertebral plate cutting remains challenging due to manual dependency and the absence of adaptive skill-learning mechanisms. This paper presents an advanced robotic vertebral plate-cutting system that leverages patient-specific anatomical variations and replicates the surgeon's cutting technique through a trajectory parameter prediction model. A spatial mapping relationship between artificial and patient vertebrae is first established, enabling the robot to mimic surgeon-defined trajectories with high accuracy.
