Objective: To study the triterpenoids constituents in Potentilla discolor.
Methods: The compounds were isolated by silica gel chromatography, macroporous resins and polyamide column chromatography from the 70% ethanol extract, and their structures were identified by spectral analysis.
Results: Six compounds were obtained and their structures were identified as 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 2) -beta-D-xylopyranosyl-19a-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-acid (1), 2alpha, 3/beta, 19alpha-trihydroxyurs-12-en-28-acid (2), 3beta, 19alpha-trihydroxyurs-12-en-24, 28-acid (3), 2alpha, 3beta-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-acid (4), 2alpha, 3alpha, 19alpha-trihydroxyurs-12-en-28-acid (5), beta-sitosterol (6).
Conclusion: Compounds 1 and 3 are obtained from this plant for the fisrt time.

Avian reoviruses (ARVs) represent a significant economic burden on the poultry industry due to their widespread prevalence and potential pathogenicity. These viruses, capable of infecting a diverse range of avian species, can lead to a variety of clinical manifestations, most notably tenosynovitis/arthritis. While many ARV strains are asymptomatic, pathogenic variants can cause severe inflammation and tissue damage in organs such as the tendons, heart, and liver.

The tick-borne encephalitis virus is a pathogen endemic to northern Europe and Asia, transmitted through bites from infected ticks. It is a member of the family and possesses a positive-sense, single-stranded RNA genome encoding a polypeptide that is processed into seven non-structural and three structural proteins, including the envelope (E) protein. The glycosylation of the E protein, involving a single N-linked glycan at position N154, plays a critical role in viral infectivity and pathogenesis.

The hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, a global health concern, can lead to chronic liver disease. The HCV core antigen (HCVcAg), a viral protein essential for replication, offers a cost-effective alternative to HCV RNA testing, particularly in resource-limited settings. This review explores the significance of HCVcAg, a key protein in the hepatitis C virus, examining its structure, function, and role in the viral life cycle.

Background/objectives: Rural communities in the United States experience increased disparity of care for both general healthcare services and access to routine vaccines. Previous research has indicated a 40% lower vaccination rate in rural communities, as compared to urban counterparts. Having a better understanding regarding factors influencing lower vaccination rates in rural areas could help public health officials prepare for future vaccination efforts.

Echinococcosis is a zoonotic infectious disease that poses a significant threat to the health of individuals living in rural regions. While vaccination represents a potential strategy for disease prevention, there is currently no effective vaccine available for humans to prevent cystic echinococcosis (CE). This study aimed to design a novel multi-epitope vaccine (MEV) against Echinococcus granulosus for human use, employing immunoinformatics methods.
