Purpose: A staff-driven peer review process was developed and implemented to determine if it would improve the perception of the quality of nursing care delivered and unit performance.
Conclusions: Perceived quality of care, as measured on the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators Survey, improved by the second year after all nurses had completed the process. The unit performance improvement indicators showed improvement in the first year after implementation, with further improvements noted the second year.
Practice Implication: This project demonstrated that staff nurses could and would autonomously improve practice and unit performance based on unit data.

Introduction: Intensive research is dedicated to the development of novel biomaterials and medical devices to be used as grafts in reconstructive surgery, with the purpose of enhancing their therapeutic effectiveness, safety, and durability. A variety of biomaterials, from autologous bone to polymethylmetacrylate, polyether ether ketone, titanium, and calcium-based ceramics are used in cranioplasty. Porous hydroxyapatite (PHA) is reported as a possible material for bone reconstruction, with good signs of biocompatibility, osteoconductive and osteointegrative properties.

Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and spatial transcriptomics (ST) techniques hold great value in evaluating the heterogeneity and spatial characteristics of hematopoietic cells within tissues. These two techniques are highly complementary, with scRNA-seq offering single-cell resolution and ST retaining spatial information. However, there is an urgent demand for well-organized and user-friendly toolkits capable of handling single-cell and spatial information.

In 2010, a Cryptosporidium hominis outbreak resulted in 27,000 clinical cryptosporidiosis cases (45% of the population) in Östersund, Sweden. Long-term abdominal and joint symptoms are common following cryptosporidiosis in adults, and it can affect the development of children in low-income countries. We investigated the potential consequences for children in a high-income setting.

Objectives: The Scrotal and Penile Imaging Working Group (SPIWG) of the European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR) aimed to formulate recommendations on the imaging modalities and minimal technical requirements for abdominopelvic imaging in the follow-up of adult patients treated for testicular germ-cell tumors (TGCT).
Methods: The SPIWG members performed an extensive literature search, reviewed the current clinical practice, and reached a consensus based on the opinions of experts in the field.
Results: Recurrence in patients treated for TGCT mainly occurs in retroperitoneal lymph nodes (LNs).
