Abstract Total knee arthroplasty is a proven technique for the management of deformity and unremitting pain in the rheumatoid arthritic knee. Many important considerations must be taken into account in order to maximize the results of total knee replacement in this challenging patient population.

Purpose: This study reports the relationship between posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) retention vs resection and soft tissue laxity and balance throughout flexion using a robotically controlled ligament tensioner.

Methods: 55 robotic-assisted TKAs (Total knee arthroplasty) were retrospectively reviewe. The robotic ligament tensioner collected laxity data both before and after PCL resection.

Background Deep learning (DL) methods can improve accelerated MRI but require validation against an independent reference standard to ensure robustness and accuracy. Purpose To validate the diagnostic performance of twofold-simultaneous-multislice (SMSx2) twofold-parallel-imaging (PIx2)-accelerated DL superresolution MRI in the knee against conventional SMSx2-PIx2-accelerated MRI using arthroscopy as the reference standard. Materials and Methods Adults with painful knee conditions were prospectively enrolled from December 2021 to October 2022.

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of intra-articular vancomycin powder in reducing prosthetic joint infections (PJIs) in primary hip and knee arthroplasty through a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs).

Methods: A research in Pubmed, Embase and Cochrane databases was performed to identify randomized clinical trials comparing intra-articular vancomycin use to conventional antibiotic prophylaxis in total hip or knee arthroplasty patients, assessing postoperative infection rates, adverse drug reactions, and venous thrombotic events. Statistical analysis was performed using R (RStudio 2024.

Purpose: Robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty (RA-TKA) has gained popularity for its potential ability to improve surgical precision and patient outcomes, despite concerns about its long learning curve and increased operative times. The aim of this study is to evaluate the learning curve of the ROSA® Knee System, the relationship between each phase of the learning curve and the accuracy of the robotic system in femoral component size and knee alignment prediction.

Methods: A single surgeon retrospective analysis of total operative time (TOT) and total robotic time was conducted.

Background: Many patients require total knee arthroplasty (TKA) bilaterally; however, there is limited data on bilateral procedures. This study aims to compare medical and surgical complications and hospital-related outcomes between simultaneous and staged bilateral TKA. We hypothesize that staged procedures will have superior outcomes.
