Colorectal cancer is a rising problem, as the incidence increases with age. In most cases the goal of treatment is oncological resection followed by adjuvant chemotherapy in order to optimize the survival. In this case report we present a 93-year-old patient with a sigmoid carcinoma inside an irreducible inguinal hernia, which was diagnosed prior to surgery. We chose to perform a sigmoid resection through an oblique inguinal incision as a safer alternative to laparotomy.

Aim: To demonstrate how workshop and mentoring across a network of radiotherapy centers helped in transitioning from point A to volume-based image guided brachytherapy in carcinoma cervix.
Materials And Methods: Based on discussion with different centers across the network, the lapses in cervical cancer treatment were identified and a workshop was designed to change the practice pattern. The main focus of the workshop was to streamline EBRT dose prescription protocols and implement volume based image guided brachytherapy through mentoring and hands on training.

Necrotising fasciitis (NF) is a rare surgical emergency characterised by soft tissue necrosis and systemic compromise. Malignancies are increasing worldwide with changing lifestyle, pollution, increasing life expectancy, and diagnostic advancements. However, multiple primary malignancies (MPMs) detected simultaneously are very rare. Here, we present a rare case of three primary malignancies (sigmoid colon, prostate, and thyroid) detected simultaneously in a 77-year-old male patient, who initially presented with bleeding per rectum and was then found to have a large pedunculated mass in the sigmoid colon on colonoscopy, which further turned out to be adenocarcinoma.

Screening for Lynch syndrome (LS) is essential in colorectal carcinoma (CRC) diagnosis. The hallmark of CRC in LS is mismatch repair (MMR) deficiency, a vital biomarkers assessed by microsatellite instability (MSI) analysis and/or immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining of the MMR proteins in the tumor, that also predict response to immune checkpoint inhibitors. We report two LS patients who developed MMR proficient CRCs.
