Background And Purpose: When caring for patients hospitalized with cerebrovascular disease, a caring phenomenon occurs between the patient's family and the nurse, and according to Hohashi's Family Care/Caring Theory, the family and the nurse achieve self-actualization. However, the contents of self-actualization through specific care/caring are unclear. The purpose of this integrative review was to clarify the self-actualization of the nurse as an outcome of family care/caring, and the self-actualization of other individuals (that is, the family) who are supported by nurses.

Cooperation is a pivotal biological phenomenon that occurs in diverse forms. In species that engage in helping, individuals vary in the time they spend together and the degree of their physical proximity, which affects the extent of physical touch between individuals. Here, we propose that touch activates a hormonal feedback loop that supports bond formation and maintenance in mating, parenting, and social contexts.

Background: Dehumanization refers to the tendency of individuals or groups to attribute fewer human characteristics to other individuals or groups (referred to as hetero-dehumanization) or to themselves (referred to as self-dehumanization). This phenomenon currently seems to predominate in the medical and nursing professions. Indeed, healthcare environments facilitate latent forms of dehumanization due to their structure, organization, and inherent professional demands.

Background: Gender-based violence (GBV) is one of the most pronounced expressions of the unequal power relations between women and men. As a tool for action against this phenomenon, psychological intervention programs for perpetrators of GVB are offered. This is how reGENER@r was born; it is a two-month program based on psychoeducational and cognitive-behavioral strategies that is part of the alternative measures to GBV-related prison sentences.
