We apply generalized operators of fractional integration involving Appell's function F 3(·) due to Marichev-Saigo-Maeda, to the product of the generalized Bessel function of the first kind due to Baricz. The results are expressed in terms of the multivariable generalized Lauricella functions. Corresponding assertions in terms of Saigo, Erdélyi-Kober, Riemann-Liouville, and Weyl type of fractional integrals are also presented. Some interesting special cases of our two main results are presented. We also point out that the results presented here, being of general character, are easily reducible to yield many diverse new and known integral formulas involving simpler functions.

Rich in bioactive compounds, carbohydrates, fibers, minerals, and trace elements, apple pomace (AP) is a significant agro-industrial by-product, which pollutes and brings high management costs. The current study investigates the possibility of using an aqueous AP extract (APE) as the main ingredient in a jelly candy recipe, replacing artificial colors and flavors and improving its nutritional value. APE and formulated jelly candies were analyzed in terms of their phytochemical profile, antioxidant capacity, and color parameters.

Recovering the relaxation spectrum, a fundamental rheological characteristic of polymers, from experiment data requires special identification methods since it is a difficult ill-posed inverse problem. Recently, a new approach relating the identification index directly with a completely unknown real relaxation spectrum has been proposed. The integral square error of the relaxation spectrum model was applied.

Due to the substantial mass disparity between trains and highway vehicles, crashes at Highway-Rail Grade Crossings (HRGCs) are often severe. Therefore, it is essential to develop systematic frameworks for allocating federal and state funds to improve safety at the highest-risk grade crossings. Common techniques for hazard prioritization at HRGCs include the hazard index and the collision prediction formula.

Dissolution of CO in water followed by the subsequent hydrolysis reactions is of great importance to the global carbon cycle, and carbon capture and storage. Despite numerous previous studies, the reactions are still not fully understood at the atomistic scale. Here, we combined ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulations with Markov state models to elucidate the reaction mechanisms and kinetics of CO in supercritical water both in the bulk and nanoconfined states.
