When humans perform pouring tasks, they exhibit consistent accuracy, regardless of the liquid type, container, or environmental conditions. This proficiency stems from their ability to effectively utilize both vision and hearing while also considering various factors. However, in the domain of robotic liquid pouring, the combination of multimodal information is effectively rarely leveraged to accomplish automatic control of robotic liquid pouring.

In the planar flow casting process of amorphous strips, the flow behavior of molten metal and the inclusion content in the crucible are crucial to the morphology and magnetic properties of the material. This study conducts a comparative analysis of the effects of non-immersed and immersed funnels, as well as various funnel structures, on the fluid flow and inclusion removal efficiency in the crucible by integrating numerical and physical models. The findings reveal that for the same pouring flow rate, the diameter of the liquid column in non-immersed pouring conditions is smaller than that of the funnel outlet, leading to a faster injection flow velocity.

"Very hot beverage" (>65°C) consumption is an IARC probable carcinogen and may contribute to the African esophageal cancer burden. We conducted community cross-sectional exposure studies of hot beverage consumption in Kenya and Malawi during 2018-2019, aiming to: (i) implement a detailed measurement protocol incorporating three measurements of sip temperature and volume so as to predict each sip's intra-esophageal liquid temperature (IELT); (ii) examine variations by seasonality, drinking venue and age, including children. 246 participants were included, of whom 236 had drink measurements (52 children and 183 adults).

Given the environmental concerns related to the non-degradability of conventional petroleum-based polymer films, the synthesis of biodegradable films utilizing natural polymers derived from biomass has emerged as a promising alternative, garnering significant attention in recent research endeavors. This research introduced an environmentally friendly and efficient method, utilizing extract liquid from the green ethanol pulping process as the solvent to completely dissolve carboxymethylcellulose into the film-forming liquid, and employing the solution pouring technique to successfully fabricate bamboo ethanol lignin/carboxymethylcellulose films (LCF). The findings revealed that the lignin content significantly influenced the LCF, endowing them with tunable mechanical properties, effective UV-blocking, and thermal insulation capabilities.
