Background: Rapidly involuting congenital hemangiomas (RICHs) are rare vascular tumors that have a proliferative phase in utero, present fully grown at birth, and have a fast involution phase after birth. Even rarer cases have completed involution in utero and present at birth as an atrophic plaque with redundant skin.

Case Report: We present one case of a RICH that underwent involution in utero and revise the diagnostic and management implications.

A delayed recovery of the reproductive tract from natural inflammatory processes associated with postpartum involution will compromise further reproductive function. Following a literature review, we selected serum amyloid A (SAA) and α1-acid glycoprotein (α1-AGP) to assess as potential circulating markers of acute uterine inflammation, as concentrations of these 2 acute phase proteins were reported to be elevated early postpartum in dairy cows with active uterine infection. Convenience serum samples from an induced model of uterine infection were used to measure concentrations of these markers.

Background And Purpose: Schizencephaly is a rare brain anomaly which is increasingly detected in utero. There are limited data on the etiology and outcomes in fetal schizencephaly to guide workup and counselling. We aim to determine the associated imaging findings, etiology, and outcomes in schizencephaly detected in utero.

This study aimed to evaluate the impacts of supplemental dietary curcumin on post-partum uterine involution using pulsed-wave Doppler ultrasonography in postpartum goats. Ten pluriparous Zaraibi goats were used and divided into two groups. Group 1 (n = 5; control) received only a base diet.

Background: Short-term poor uterine involution manifests as uterine contraction weakness. This is one of the important causes of postpartum hemorrhage, posing a serious threat to the mother's life and safety. The study aims to investigate whether low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFUS) can effectively shorten lochia duration, alleviate postpartum complications, and accelerate uterine involution compared with the sham treatment.
