Published: January 2014

Objective: This study aimed to describe 2 cases of vulvar psoriasis and vitiligo resulting in a striking clinical appearance.

Materials And Methods: Case 1 was of a 41-year-old woman concerned about a dark pigmentation around the introitus. Case 2 was of an 80-year-old woman with vulvar itch and red, white, and brown areas.

Results: The vulva in each case showed a tricolored appearance of well-demarcated red, white, and brown colors. Biopsies showed psoriasis superimposed on vitiligo in the red, vitiligo in the white, and normal skin in the brown areas.

Conclusions: When psoriasis and vitiligo are colocalized, the redness of the psoriasis may mask the vitiligo resulting in a striking red, white, and brown tricolored appearance.

To investigate the impact of genetic factors on wine aroma, wines made from 22 clones of five grape varieties ( L.) were used to analyze the volatile compounds by headspace solid phase microextraction gas chromatography mass spectrometer (HS-SPME-GC-MS) and headspace gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (HS-GC-IMS). Results showed that 52 and 49 aroma compounds were identified from 22 clones of wines by two technologies, respectively.

To diversify wine production in Xinjiang and address the issue of wine homogenization, it is crucial to leverage the unique climatic advantages of each grape-producing area to foster a high-quality wine industry. Using meteorological data from 80 national standard meteorological stations in Xinjiang, spanning 1961 to 2019, this study established a climatic zoning index system tailored to distinct grape varieties for wines, including dry red, dry white, ice wine, sparkling wine, and natural sweet wines. The system is formulated based on key climatic factors such as the frost-free period, ≥ 10 °C active accumulated temperature (AAT10), mean temperature of the coldest month, annual extreme minimum temperature, and dryness.

Objective: This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram to predict the risk of sepsis in non-traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) patients using data from the MIMIC-IV database.

Methods: A total of 803 SAH patients meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a training set (563 cases) and a validation set (240 cases). Independent prognostic factors were identified through forward stepwise logistic regression, and a nomogram was created based on these factors.
