Purpose: Patient reported outcome measures play an increasingly important role in the outcomes research. The Core Outcome Measures Index (COMI) is a short, multidimensional instrument initially developed for the use by patients with low back pain. This study is an evaluation of a Polish version of COMI adapted for neck pain.
Methods: One hundred twenty-three patients complaining of neck pain were enrolled. All of them completed a questionnaire booklet containing COMI-neck, Neck Disability Index and Likert-type questions regarding the frequency of use of pain medications and pain frequency. Ninety-eight patients returned the retest questionnaire. Data quality was also assessed. Assessment of psychometric properties included examination of data quality, construct validity, test-retest reliability and factor analysis.
Results: The quality of data was good with no missing answers and a little floor effect. Exploratory factor analysis revealed a single-factor structure. Reliability expressed as intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.88 (95% CI 0.84-0.92) for the overall COMI score and was generally good for most of individual core items. The minimum detectable change (MDC95%) was 1.97.
Conclusion: This version of the COMI-neck is a valid and reliable instrument, with good psychometric properties. It can be recommended for Polish-speaking patients.

Objective: To build consensus on most important symptoms and related consequences for use in questionnaires to characterise individuals with suspected and confirmed endometriosis in the general population.
Design: A questionnaire of 107 symptoms and related consequences of endometriosis was collaboratively developed by patients, medical doctors and researchers and further assessed in a two-round e-Delphi study. Participants assessed the relevance of the symptoms, and a priori it was decided that 70% was the threshold for inclusion of a symptom.

Background: Prediction models for atrial fibrillation (AF) may enable earlier detection and guideline-directed treatment decisions. However, model bias may lead to inaccurate predictions and unintended consequences.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to validate, assess bias, and improve generalizability of "UNAFIED-10," a 2-year, 10-variable predictive model of undiagnosed AF in a national data set (originally developed using the Indiana Network for Patient Care regional data).

The question we addressed in the current study is whether the mere prospect of monetary reward gain affects subjective time perception. To test this question, we collected trial-based confidence reports in a task where participants made categorical decisions about probe durations relative to the reference duration. When there was a potential to gain a monetary reward, the duration was perceived to be longer than in the neutral condition.

Introduction: Retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery for benign retroperitoneal tumors is often challenging because of variations in the tumor location and size. In this study, we present a retroperitoneal laparoscopic resection technique used at our institution to treat benign retroperitoneal tumors.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective case series included nine consecutive patients who underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic tumor resection between 2011 and 2023.

Objective This study aims to evaluate the real-world efficacy of ranibizumab biosimilar (Ongavia), compared to aflibercept (Eylea), in the treatment of treatment-naïve neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) at a busy tertiary eye care centre. Methods A retrospective analysis of medical records from August 2022 to August 2024 was conducted, comparing treatment outcomes in treatment-naive nAMD patients who received either Ongavia or Eylea intravitreal anti-VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) injections under a treat-and-extend protocol. Initial and 12-month outcome measures post-treatment initiation were collected, including best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), central retinal thickness (CRT), prescribed treatment intervals, actual injection frequency, and the average total number of injections per eye over 12 months.
