Thirty-seven patients were treated for advanced malignant testicular tumors with combined chemotherapy including cis-platinum (Platidiam). A complete regression was achieved in 23 patients (62%). No severe side effects were observed. Also in this study the effectivity of cis-platinum in the treatment of testicular tumors was proved.

Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is a promising modality for differentiating benign and malignant lesions in various organs, including the testis. Testicular tumors, common in young men, are often treated with radical orchiectomy, which can have significant consequences. This study aimed to analyze CEUS parameters and their association with malignant testicular tumors.

Background/objectives: Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) are common in young adult men and have high cure rates. Conventional serum tumor markers and imaging are not able to differentiate between histologic subtypes of the disease, which portend different prognoses and require distinct therapeutic strategies. Micro-RNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding transcripts involved in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression, which have emerged as promising biomarkers in a variety of tumors.

To test for rates of inpatient palliative care (IPC) in metastatic testicular cancer patients receiving critical care therapy (CCT). Within the Nationwide Inpatient Sample (NIS) database (2008-2019), we tabulated IPC rates in metastatic testicular cancer patients receiving CCT, namely invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV), percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube (PEG), dialysis for acute kidney failure (AKF), total parenteral nutrition (TPN) or tracheostomy. Univariable and multivariable logistic regression models addressing IPC were fitted.

Inguinal metastases (I/M) are very rare. We aimed to evaluate the relative frequency and clinical features of I/M and to look for predisposing factors.
