In 2014, the NIH Diversity Program Consortium (DPC) launched an initiative to implement and evaluate novel interventions at a variety of academic institutions across the country to engage undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds in biomedically-related research. The local intervention examined in the current study provides Critical Race Theory (CRT)-informed mentoring, more broadly called critical mentoring, for its participants. We examined the relationship between critical mentoring and student outcomes.

While fear of hypoglycemia during physical activity is well documented, research on hyperglycemia-related anxiety (HRA) is limited. Background: Core curricula do not include courses on how to find employment after hand fellowships. Little data exists in literature regarding job selection in hand surgery. This study's purpose was to provide information to future hand surgeons on ways of finding a job that meets their expectations and to elucidate factors that should be considered before deciding on a hand practice.

Background: The numbers of nursing school admissions and, thus, future nursing graduates are directly affected by the lack of qualified ANEs.
Methods: A consortium of diverse ANEs was formed to research these questions using the nominal group technique.
Results: Two central themes emerged from the consortium: support and collaboration.
