Background And Aims: Sarcopenia, defined as a muscle mass loss and function, is increasingly recognized in pediatric populations, particularly in childhood obesity. Therefore, it is necessary to have measurements that can distinguish between muscle and fat mass. Methods of body composition such as Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) provide accurate assessments of body composition, but they are resource-intensive and impractical for routine monitoring in clinical or community settings.

Summary: Oral levothyroxine (LT4) is prescribed worldwide for hypothyroidism. Bariatric surgery for patients with obesity has shown a substantial, long-term weight loss and considerable improvement of obesity-related diseases. LT4 malabsorption represents a significant cause of refractory hypothyroidism, well known after malabsorptive bariatric surgery such as Roux-en-Y gastric bypass.

Objectives: To determine the frequency of undiagnosed hypertension among the diabetic patients with micro vascular complications.

Method: This is a descriptive case series conducted at Department of Medicine, Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital, in this six month stud which enrolled 213 patients between 18-60 years from March 28, 2021 to September 28, 2021, having diabetes with microvascular complications. These patients were not previously diagnosed as hypertensives.

Objective: The objective of this pilot study is to evaluate the feasibility of using an automatic weight management system to follow patients' response to weight reduction medications and to identify early deviations from weight trajectories.

Methods: The pilot study involved 11 participants using Semaglutide for weight management, monitored over a 12-month period. A cloud-based, Wi-Fi-enabled remote weight management system collected and analyzed daily weight data from smart scales.
