Background: Uncertainty in the diagnosis of lung nodules is a challenge for both patients and physicians. Artificial intelligence (AI) systems are increasingly being integrated into medical imaging to assist diagnostic procedures. However, the accuracy of AI systems in identifying and measuring lung nodules on chest computed tomography (CT) scans remains unclear, which requires further evaluation.

Very rarely, brucellosis can cause periprosthetic joint infections (PJI). In this case-based literature review, we summarize the current medical literature regarding Brucella PJI, with the aim to raise awareness among clinicians, particularly in non-endemic areas.

Atypical mycobacteria can cause rare and atypical infections of the hand. We report the case of an immunocompetent 46-year-old male initially presenting with thumb felon and progressively developing symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, tenosynovitis of multiple fingers and a sporotrichoid lymphocutaneous infection causing chronic cutaneous lesions all over the body. Background And Objectives: Although previous trials have established the efficacy and safety of endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) in large ischemic core strokes, most of them excluded patients with extracranial internal carotid artery (e-ICA) occlusion. We aimed to compare outcomes in patients with e-ICA occlusion and large ischemic core infarcts treated with EVT vs medical management (MM).
Methods: This was a secondary analysis of the SELECT2 trial, a randomized controlled trial conducted at 31 international sites.
