Among them, Zika virus (ZIKV) is an emerging and reemerging arthropod-borne flavivirus that has become a major international public health problem following multiple large outbreaks over the past two decades. Rhabdomyoma is a rare benign tumor of striated muscle, which can be either cardiac or extracardiac. Extracardiac rhabdomyomas can occur throughout the body, though the fetal and adult subtypes are most commonly found in the head and neck region.We present three pediatric cases of extracardiac rhabdomyoma, fetal subtype, detailing their clinical presentations, computed tomography imaging, and tissue biopsy findings.

Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is common in patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) on kidney replacement therapy, which leads to abnormalities of bone and mineral metabolism. Patients conceiving on kidney replacement therapy add a further layer of complexity to the management of their SHPT. Existing literature in cases of primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) has linked untreated hyperparathyroidism to increased maternal and fetal morbidity, including hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, fetal growth restriction and neonatal hypocalcaemia.

Purpose: The main objective of this study was to assess the impact of a composite quality improvement intervention on mode of birth in nullipara term singleton vertex (NTSVs).
Material And Methods: This was an ambidirectional study following the implementation of the intervention to reduce cesarean section rate in NSTV by comparing two birth cohorts, pre-composite quality improvement intervention cohort (January 2013-December 2015) and post-composite quality improvement intervention cohort (January 2018-December 2020).
Results: In the studied periods, there was a total of 7713 NTSV births.
