Most vesical neck contractures occur after resection of adenomas weighing less than 20 gm. This complication is believed to be secondary to excessive resection or fulguration of an undilated bladder neck. Prophylactic bladder neck incision was performed in conjunction with transurethral resection of the prostate on 114 patients with prostatic adenomas weighing less than 20 gm. Vesical neck contracture occurred in 1 patient (0.87 per cent), compared to 12 contractures in 161 patients who underwent transurethral resection of the prostate alone (7.5 per cent). Increasing bladder neck diameter by incision appears to be protective against formation of vesical neck contractures in patients with small obstructing prostatic adenomas.

Objective: The aim of this systematic review is to offer a comprehensive view of the current use of robotic surgery for the treatment of urethral strictures and bladder neck contractures.
Methods: A systematic review of the current literature was conducted through the Medline and NCBI PubMed, Embase databases in December 2023. Keywords used were "robotic" and "robotic-assisted" combined with "urethroplasty", "urethral stricture", and "bladder neck contracture".

Background: Urethral strictures are a common and persistent pathology in urology with significant clinical repercussions. Our aim is to provide an overview of the general aspects of this condition.
Methods: A comprehensive review of the literature from PubMed was conducted covering the period from 2020 to 2023.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the differences between angles of bladder neck in girls with overactive bladder and those in healthy ones using transabdominal ultrasonography.
Materials And Methods: This study consists of 28 girls complicated with overactive bladder (Group I) and 40 healthy girls (Group II). The anteroposterior vesical wall angle (APVA), urethroposterior vesical wall angle (UPVA), urethroanterior vesical wall angle (UAVA), thickness of bladder mucosa, distance of urethral orifices, and distance between ureter and urethra orifice were measured in supine position using transabdominal ultrasonography.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of an educational stepwise robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) procedure for urology residents.
Methods: We performed a detailed evaluation of 42 RARP procedures performed by a single urology resident from July 2019 to February 2022. The RARP procedures were divided into the following nine steps: (1) bladder dissection, (2) endopelvic fascia dissection, (3) bladder neck dissection, (4) seminal vesicle dissection, (5) Denonvilliers' fascia dissection, (6) dorsal vascular complex ligation, (7) dissection of the prostatic apex, (8) posterior anastomosis, and (9) urethro-vesical anastomosis.
