Introduction: Toxocariasis is a roundworm infection that may be associated with serious cardiac manifestations. We report one case and review another 12 cases in the literature.

Case Report: A 74-year-old man, presented with clinical features of myopericarditis. Eosinophil count was 20,000/mm(3). The ELISA and Western Blot were positive for Toxocara canis. The patient was treated with corticosteroids and antiparasite treatment. The outcome was rapidly favorable.

Discussion: In the other 12 cases, the cardiac manifestations were often severe: six myocarditis, three tamponades and three Loeffler's endocarditis have been published. Four therapeutic strategies have been reported: symptomatic treatment alone was associated with worse progressive; antiparasite treatment alone or companied with corticosteroids and corticosteroids alone had good results.

Conclusion: The toxocariasis should be investigated systematically in case of eosinophilic cardiomyopathy. The treatment strategy is still controversial.

: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) can be the first manifestation of an underlying cancer. This study aimed to develop a predictive model to assess the risk of occult cancer between 30 days and 24 months after a venous thrombotic event using machine learning (ML). : We designed a case-control study nested in a cohort of patients with VTE included in a prospective registry from two Spanish hospitals between 2005 and 2021.

Background/objectives: The failure of physiological left-right (LR) patterning, a critical embryological process responsible for establishing the asymmetric positioning of internal organs, leads to a spectrum of congenital abnormalities characterized by laterality defects, collectively known as "heterotaxy". biallelic variants have recently been associated with heterotaxy syndrome and congenital heart defects (CHD). However, the genotype-phenotype correlations and the underlying pathogenic mechanisms remain poorly understood.

Background: Myocardial disease is an important component of the wide field of cardiovascular disease. However, the phenomenon of multiple myocardial diseases in a single patient remains understudied.

Aim: To investigate the prevalence and impact of myocarditis in patients with genetic cardiomyopathies and to evaluate the outcomes of myocarditis treatment in the context of cardiomyopathies.

The impact of Celiac Disease (CD) is not only limited to the intestinal system, but extraintestinal manifestations may also be seen. In this context, cardiac manifestations have recently been the focus of attention. This study aimed to evaluate myocardial repolarization properties in CD patients by assessing the frontal QRS-T Angle (fQRS-T) on electrocardiography (ECG).
