Joyce Hahn, PhD, APRN-CNS, NEA-BC, is an Associate Professor and Founding Faculty at the George Washington University School of Nursing. She has held clinical and administrative positions in a variety of health care arenas to include acute care and community settings, public policy, and academia. Brenda Helen Sheingold, PhD, RN, is an Assistant Professor and Founding Faculty at the George Washington University School of Nursing. She holds a master's degree from the John Hopkin's University School of Business and a PhD in nursing/public policy from George Mason University. Karen M. Ott, DNP, RN, is the Director of Policy, Education, and Legislation in the Office of Nursing Services at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the liaison to the VA Office of Academic Affiliations to design and implement educational initiatives that promote and sustain VA nursing professional development.
