Background: Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), a severe cutaneous hypersensitivity reaction induced particularly by drugs, is diagnosed when there is a fever of ≥ 38 °C, mucocutaneous symptoms, a rash with multiple erythema, and skin peeling of ≥ 30% of the body surface area. The mortality rate of TEN is high, and thrombocytopenia during treatment can lead to severe outcomes. Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) is used when steroids are ineffective in TEN and may improve mortality; however, thrombocytopenia is a rare adverse event associated with IVIg use.

The diagnosis of LyP is mainly based on clinical presentation and histopathological correlation. Background: Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a rare, chronic, often unpredictable, severe multisystemic autoinflammatory skin disease from which patients can experience flares, episodes of widespread eruptions of painful, sterile pustules often accompanied by systemic symptoms. The impact of GPP flares and underlying GPP severity on the healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) is not well characterized.
Objective: To quantify HCRU among US GPP patients by flare status and underlying severity.
A rare intersection: squamous cell carcinoma of the tonsil and the anti-TIF1 syndrome masquerade.

Background: Dermatomyositis is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting muscles and skin, often associated with an increased risk of cancer. Specific autoantibodies, including anti-TIF1 (Transcription Intermediary Factor 1), have been linked to this risk. We present a case of dermatomyositis in a male patient positive for anti-TIF1 antibodies, subsequently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tonsil, a novel association not previously documented.
